Throughout this course, I have been utilizing MLA formatting to write my essays. In project three I also used MLA formatting. I used it to cite all my sources and to give examples from different readings and sources to use as evidence to support my claims. For example, one of the readings I quoted was “The Empathy Diaries” by, Sherry Turkle. I entered a quote from the reading that went like this: She states, “Face to face conversation is the most human- and humanizing thing we do. Fully present to one another, we learn to listen. It’s where we develop the capacity for empathy.” (Turkle pg. 344). On my work cited page I then put the proper citation in MLA format for the reading: Turkle, Sherry. “The Empathy Diaries.” Emerging, edited by Barclay Barrios, St. Martins, 2019, pp. 343–52.
